GoodFellas is the true story of Henry Hill's life in the Mafia. When he was 11 years old, Henry got a job at one of the business fronts of the local mob boss, and moved up in the ranks for 30 years, until it all came crashing down.
Based on the book "Wise Guy" by Nicolas Pileggi, Goodfellas is narated by Henry Hill and his wife Karen Hill in the present day, looking back on the past.
Elements such as steady cams, long takes and unnessesary action in the background make this movie classic Scorsessi.
The characters are wonderfully brought to life by the excellent actors, the soudtrack is has the best music from the 50's through the 70's, and it has wonderful writing, because it's real.
If you haven't seen this movie, or if you saw it a long time ago, go rent it.
